Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Feel Me lets you share how you feel and stay connected with friends. This policy describes the information used by the Feel Me app and feelme.app.
Information We Collect
- Account and profile information. Your account identifier, email address, username, profile name, sign-in method, and account settings. If you use Sign in with Apple, your email may be an Apple private relay address.
- Feelings and activity. The feelings you choose, their timestamps and history, and any custom feeling suggestions you submit. These entries can describe your mood or emotional state. We also store friend connections, friend requests, pokes, blocks, and notification preferences.
- Optional phone number. If you add a phone number, we store the number, country code, and a hashed version used to help contacts find one another.
- Notifications and diagnostics. If you enable push notifications, we store a push delivery token associated with your account. Our services also produce operational and error logs, which can include account identifiers and details of the action being processed.
- Purchase information. RevenueCat receives account identifiers and purchase or transaction information to manage purchase history, validate purchases, and provide purchase analytics. Apple processes App Store payments; Feel Me does not receive your full payment-card details. We also store records of previously purchased streak recovery.
Contacts and Nearby Discovery
Contact matching is optional. When you choose to scan contacts and grant access, the app reads phone numbers from the contacts your device allows it to access. It normalizes and hashes those numbers on your device, then sends the hashes to our matching service to find Feel Me accounts. Contact names and raw address-book phone numbers are not sent by this feature. The matching service processes the submitted hashes for the request without saving an address-book list.
Hashing is not anonymization: a matching hash can be associated with a Feel Me account. Adding your own phone number enables other members who have that number to find your profile through contact matching. You can remove your number in the app's Settings and change contact access in your device settings.
If you turn on nearby discovery, your device broadcasts your username to nearby Feel Me devices using local connectivity. The app looks up matching profiles so you can send friend requests. You can turn discovery off in the app; this feature does not use GPS coordinates.
How We Use Information
- Sign you in, maintain your profile, and operate friend discovery and connections.
- Share feelings with connected friends and show your history, streaks, and personal summaries.
- Deliver enabled notifications, including friend activity, pokes, reminders, and digests.
- Manage purchases and existing purchase records.
- Provide support, investigate errors or abuse, and manage the service. Administrative tools show account information and activity counts, including weekly, monthly, and total check-ins, to help us understand use of the app.
Sharing and Service Providers
Your username and profile name help other signed-in members find and recognize you. Feelings you share appear to connected friends. Friend requests and pokes identify the people involved. Custom feeling suggestions are reviewed by administrators and may be added to the app's shared feeling choices.
When an administrator approves a custom feeling suggestion, we send its suggested name and emoji to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a color and related words. This request includes the suggestion text and emoji; it does not attach your account details or feeling history.
We use Supabase for accounts, data storage, and server functions; Expo and Apple for push notification delivery; Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases; and RevenueCat for purchase management and analytics. These providers process the information needed for those services. Notification content can include a username and feeling and may appear on a device's lock screen, depending on its settings.
Authorized administrators can access account and activity information to operate and support Feel Me. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. Feel Me does not display third-party advertising.
Storage and Your Choices
Account, feeling, and relationship records are stored in our hosted database. The app and web portal also keep sign-in session information on your device or browser so you can stay signed in. Signing out clears that session; it does not delete your account or its saved history.
- Edit your profile name, username, and optional phone number in Settings.
- Remove friends or block users in the app.
- Manage notification preferences in the app or disable notification permission in your device settings.
- Limit or revoke contact access in your device settings and turn nearby discovery off in the app.
Deleting Your Account
To delete your account, open Settings in the Feel Me app, choose Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion removes your sign-in account, profile, saved feelings, friend requests, pokes, custom feeling submissions, and stored streak-recovery records. It also removes references to your account from other members' friend, notification, and block lists. Uninstalling the app does not delete this information.
Account deletion does not itself erase operational logs, provider backups, or purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. Contact us if you need help deleting an account or have questions about those records.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us.

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised date.
